And doing Girls in the Cheap Seats, I feel a little more of an obligation to keep up than I would if I was just Jane Doe Fangirl.
[B]oth WPS and MLS have run very visible promotions with the Komen Foundation. Since Komen as an organization has now bought into the absurd idea that some forms of women’s health care are better than others, from this point forward, any soccer league or team that partners with Komen is hostile not only to women’s right to choose, but to women’s health care in general.

Gee, Sunil. Don’t overcommit yourself to supporting women’s soccer there or anything. I know you’re busy helping the Krafts run New England into the ground, not to mention your Klinsmann shrine project, but this is pretty pathetic.
My thoughts on the WPS/magicJack/Borislow drama
Assuming anyone cares.
I don’t know whose side I’m supposed to be on in this. WPS made a big mistake letting Borislow buy the team and move it to Florida. Even when it happened, I think we knew that. But I don’t know that the league had any other choice - were there other people lining up to take over after the Freedom’s owners bailed? Was there another realistic expansion option? I honestly don’t know. Borislow is … not stable. And he’s really screwed up a team that had a great history behind it. If there’s someone else who can run the club (in DC or Florida), and your contract allows it, sure, get him out of there. But I guess my interest is really in keeping the league afloat, even though I’m here in Texas and will probably never get to see a live game. There are so many great players in WPS and they deserve better than this league and Borislow has been giving them. Rooftop pools in Boca Raton or not.
